Robotic Mining

Can Mining be made safer?

Mining has always been one of the most dangerous professions in the world.

People deep underground, blasting away at the rock around them, at danger of a cave in, lack of oxygen and so many other dangers.

The Avatel robot has been developed to allow a single employee to place explosive charges to access the ores that they are mining for.

Placed in a protected cabin, the miner can use a pair of extended arms to place explosives whilst engineers and geologists watching back in a control room can offer support and advice with changing conditions.

Once those explosives are set. Instead of having to be near.

The miner can then move the robot clear from the danger and send a wireless signal for detonation.

Removing so much of the danger on the individual will save lives and improve output for the entire industry.
